Hotfixes


I have applied a small number of fixes to some major bugs. This should not affect game progress. Nevertheless, if anyone has lost saves or progress as a result, my deepest apologies. I am trying to work within the limits of the Choicescript engine, and trying to  balance bugfixes with avoiding gameplay disruption.

  • Major bug - If you had rescued someone by entering a cavern first, stalling the other party for as long as possible, then beating them in combat and trapping one of them, the game would glitch out in the subsequent chapters and show the wrong content. This was due to an incorrectly named variable and has been fixed. This was quite a serious bug which escaped my notice until someone pointed it out. I apologize for this error.
  • If you had driven away a powerful enemy during one mystery solving quest, instead of killing it, you would still receive the reward for killing it at the end. This is a fairly minor bug, but has been fixed.
  • One more relatively minor fix where the wrong text was shown previously.

I am planning a major update to correct more things, including typos. Most likely on 20 Apr (about three weeks from now), but this is not confirmed and I'll put up a notice once I decide on something.
